Meet your personal guide after customs and transfer by private vehicle to your hotel. This afternoon your private sightseeing tour visits Angkor Thom and the spectacular Bayon Temple known for its huge stone faces.

Enter by the monumental South Gate over a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods. You will explore some of the terraces and ruins within this temple complex before continuing to the mysterious Bayon Temple. This temple is one of the most popular at Angkor, where you will find giant stone faces smiling enigmatically down at you from every angle.

As the days draws to a close, watch the sun set over the Cambodian countryside from the upper terraces of an ancient Angkorian temple. Return to your hotel
Two nights’ hotel accommodations in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Full Day Temple Sightseeing (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a full day of private sightseeing with your personal guide. The highlight today will be a visit to Angkor Wat, the most venerated, largest and best preserved temple in the area. It has become the symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag. This temple was built in the early 12th century and is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.

Also visit Ta Prohm, one of the most popular attractions of Angkor, as much of the jungle has not been cleared and it looks very much as most of the Angkor monuments would have appeared when European explorers first stumbled across them. Explore Banteay Srei temple dedicated to Shiva. Return to your hotel.

Lunch Break: A lunch break will be taken during full day sightseeing tours. Please note that the cost of lunch is not included. Your guide will give you the option of returning to your hotel or stopping at a local restaurant. You may also ask the guide to pick a restaurant near one of the local markets should you wish to explore on your own.
