Upon arrival in Nara visit the Todaiji Temple, the world's largest wooden building that houses the 50-foot-high Great Image of Buddha. Enjoy the peaceful Deer Park where many tame deer roam freely on the grounds. Walk through vermilion-hued Kasuga Shrine with its thousands of lanterns. Return bus ride back to Kyoto, arrival at your hotel about 6:40 p.m. |
