Serviced apartments are becoming popular in Bangkok. They differ little from a normal first class hotel. The most obvious difference is a small kitchen area in every guest room. There is a toaster, hot pot, refrigerator and a microwave oven.
Whats missing? Most first class hotels will have many restaurants and at least one bar. Serviced apartments will usually have only one restaurant that will also double as the bar. Hotels will normally change the linen daily, serviced apartments change the linens three times a week. Serviced apartments do provide daily room cleaning and fresh towels just like regular hotels.
Cable and satellite television is provided at the Centre Point Silom, along with free broadband internet, but they dont have in-house movies.
